House Shift Manager
Position Summary:
 
Responsible for coordinating and managing patient care. The House Shift Manager is the only member of management that is physically present at the hospital on a regular basis during assigned shifts. During this time, the position is responsible for providing administrative and clinical oversight and leadership throughout the hospital. Supports and maintains operational objectives as the patient care level, by converting administrative plans into action. The House Shift Manger is clinical competent. Responsible for Nurse Manager call on rotating basis.
 
Job Scope:
  • Perform duties independently operating from specific and definite direction and instructions. 
  • Decisions are of routine or critical nature, made within prescribed operating guidelines, policies, and procedures and within Nursing Standards of Care. 
  • Communicates new material, equipment, and procedures to all members of the team. Accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Sate Board of Nursing in the Nusre Practice Act.
  • Is responsible for delivering patient care within institutional guidelines.
 

 

Job Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing required BSN preferred.
  • Current State of NM licensure as a Registered Nurse required
  • BCLS, ACLS and NRP required
  • PALS preferred
  • 5 or more years of previous experience in an Acute Care setting preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience in an Acute Care setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and State regulations for acute care facilities required.
 
Salary Range: $28.17-$35
